Program Overview :

The D.Pharm program is accredited by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and the Odisha State Board of Pharmacy, Bhubaneswar. The course spans two academic years. 

Eligibility :

To be eligible for admission to the Diploma in Pharmacy program, candidates must have successfully completed the +2 Science examination with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Bioscience/Life-science), and/or Mathematics from the Council of Higher Secondary Education (C.H.S.E.), Odisha, or an equivalent examination approved by PCI. Additionally, candidates must have passed each of the individual subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology (both theory and practical components). Students pursuing vocational courses or those enrolled in distance education/correspondence courses are not eligible for admission. The admission process is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Odisha.

Admission to the D.Pharm program is based on the merit list prepared by the Convenor of the D.Pharm Selection Committee, Odisha, with the remaining seats being filled through management quotas. Furthermore, reserved seats are allocated for candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Government, State Governments, or Union Territory Administrations, as applicable.
